Recently I have had 3 of these saws with the same fault, the coils stop making spark at low RPM and you can't get them started. Up here the OEM coil from Poulan is $80 plus 13% tax, the AM coils from China are around $20 and I've had good luck with them for other saws but my luck has run out. I've tried 4 coils from China and they all have the same defect, the timing is retarded to about 8deg after TDC at low RPM and if you try to correct by repositioning the FW to give at least 5 deg before TDC, you end up with too much advance at high RPM. I always end up buying OEM. I think these Chinese coils are all made in the same factory and they have the wrong specs, won't try anymore of them.

Do yourself a favour, leave it in the back of your truck with the tailgate down.
drive down a very crooked road as fast as you can.Do not look back.
I had 5 of em, I used to talk them up, but they were always needing a tune, I gave one away, the other 4 went to the pawnshop.
