I have an old 029 with a broken wire. I see that you can replace the wire, is that so for all 029 models? I can't see how to remove the wire short of cutting the coil in half. If I can replace the wire how does it come out?

Spark plug wires usually twist out, counterclockwise. Install new wire clockwise and seal it with silicone or other insulating heat resistant adhesive. Any other wire would need to be spliced or pinned back into the coil. Pinning can work but not always.

In stihl's case, do NOT put any sealer with the wire.. Just slip the coil boot back over the wire when screwed in.
