can some one tell me what the compression reading should be on a jonsered 670. it pull's over very easilly compared to my 630. haven't checked compression yet on either, was wondering if the 670 had a better recoil to make it pull over easier or maybe it is wore out and needs rings. runs great after the muffler mod and clean fuel filter.

Ruel of thumb most saws.

Excelent 160+
Good 150-160
Fair 140-150
Poor 120-140
Done <120

The size of the rewind spool can make saws pull over with more or less force. The bigger the rewind spool the easier to pull, but the faster the rope needs to be pulled to get same cranking RPM and the longer the rope needs to be pulled to get full revolution of the crank.

670 should not pull over easier than the 630 all things being equal. Pull start pulley and for that matter everything is almost matching identically between the two saws excluding the piston/cylinder. Check compression for sure!
