I was giving a old craftsman chainsaw model 917.353750 that doesn't run. I noticed laying in the bottom of the gas tank a tube with the fiter on the end. I flipped the chain saw over and it fell out. is the pick up where this hooks up at the top of gas tank where i need it hooked up to run the saw, or is it at the bottom where i will still get gas without it being connected. I assume the chainsaw would have to be split open to hook the fuel line back up?

Take a look at the Sears Parts Direct page: Model # 917353750 | Parts.Sears.com
Line enters the tank at the top with enuff length to place the filter near the bottom.
You should be able to replace the fuel line without removing the tank cover.
Plan on using plain generic tygon line.
