Working on an 066, I’ve used this puller a lot, so it’s paid for itself by now and it’s great, but not cheap.

Suggestion.
Remove wing bolts and install T-27 5mm Torx screws. You can push the wings out harder.
Suggested to me from the top STIHL Tech.

I found the tool, you can get it for $150 from sawpartscanada. Definitely an investment but Ill probably be getting one myself. Ill have to see if it works with dirtbikes because I do lots of that work too
In the US it’s probably cheaper, but it was $350 AUD or there abouts in 2019.

BTW, the best way to use this tool is to gently tap the seal in a bit all way round to loosen it up before trying to pull it out.
Absolutely right, the manual even recommends it too.
