Cylinder lines

I am rebuilding a Husky and the cylinder has a few of these dark lines extending from bottom to top. Does this indicate the nikasil is worn through? Thanks

Not necessarily - it could be where a chunk of carbon broke off and got between the piston and cylinder wall.

Drag your fingernail over it - if your nail catches, it's likely through the Nikasil.

Unless a port is damaged I almost always put some sandpaper to it until I don't have a question. That one looks pretty suspect though. Good luck!
