I've a 50-60 year old sycamore toped maby 15y ago with blight. I have thined it and it has deep cavities. I thought I might fill the cavities with expanding fome to keep out water and criters?
your coments...
 
I don't think filling it with anything is a good idea. It will make removal that much more difficult. Plus squirrels can chew through anything if it soots them. So I would just save money to tip the guys who remove it for you.
 
Fill it with bricks,rocks and concrete so the guy who ends up cutting it down can spend the afternoon sweating and swearing.;)
