I've a 50-60 year old sycamore toped maby 15y ago with blight. I have thined it and it has deep cavities. I thought I might fill the cavities with expanding fome to keep out water and criters?

I don't think filling it with anything is a good idea. It will make removal that much more difficult. Plus squirrels can chew through anything if it soots them. So I would just save money to tip the guys who remove it for you.
