Delivering bids

How do you guys deliver bids? I was asked the other day to give a price for a tree and some other BS work out in Connecticut. The woman gave me her e-mail address and said I could e-mail it to her. Have any of you guys done this?

I do a fair amount of email corresponding prior to the bid, but like to keep estimates in one standard written form, just to keep the paper work simple.

Last company I worked for used email and faxes quite a bit to send quotes. This one is not even on line-they do not like the fact I do not have a phone (have not for 5 years since I moved back iin here), so they can not get hold of me unless they drive over!

I want to talk face to face if i can, it is much easier to close the deal that way. After that the email is good, reports and whatnot.
