Did a deer kill my Pagoda Dogwood?

Had hoped this tree would develop. Can you tell me if it is lost or what, if anything, should be done to save it?

Yeah, one side is worse than the other but pretty much all around. I took the two photos 180 degrees from each other. Bummer!
