My father in law needed some help cutting some small trees around his apt building. So, my wife and I went up to visit and help them out with some other things as well. I was able to get a little wood out of it. I noticed a couple of trees down out back, and it looks like I'll have to bring the saw up the next couple of times we visit. There's at least a cord of Ash with some of it already on the ground. :hmm3grin2orange: Too bad, they live 1.5 hours away, but it will at least help offset the cost of gas to visit. :msp_thumbsup:

I Know what you mean. I like cutting wood and my son-in law has an ODB. So I try to haul some to him. He is 3 hours away but then I can see my grand kids. that makes it all worth while.

too bad the in-laws don't live closer than 1.5 hours away. that's not something you read/hear every day.... :msp_biggrin:
In this case, I wouldn't mind if they lived closer. Otherwise, it's just about right. :msp_biggrin:
3.5 hours for me , still not far enough , if they'd ask I'd bring a saw but that'll be a cold day .

When I take wood to my son-in law I can take about 2.5 full cords. It is all 20' to 24' long and I let him cut and split it.
