Did my Stihl dealer stick it to me?

I started my 350 Husky up yesterday on 2 or three pulls, forgot it had a primer bulb on it. My other 350 doesn't have one.

Short life---let me think about this: my FS85 trimmer is from the late 90's (one bulb, replaced summer '10), early 2000's Dolmar hedge trimmer (one bulb- just replaced this spring), BG85 blower- bought spring '07 and still running original bulb. All of these are run with E10 that stays in them year-round. I have also bought (and sold) 100+ NE's (produced mid-'07 to 2012) and have NEVER seen one with a bad bulb or purge line. I know that's a pretty small sample...

Wow. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. You buy a foreign product and worry if a minor replacement part is from a different foreign country, when your world is filled with Chinese parts you can't even begin to trace the origin of. The cow left the barn, got old and died many years ago - quick, go close the door!

Fuel line without bulb is shorter with less turns.

Turns in a low-flow liquid line mean absolutely zero. Distance is negligible.

The manufacturer didn't put it there just for to piss people off, it obviously is a benefit to saw operation or it would be gone.
