Do I need an Oiler?

that is a hell of a bar for a 395, hope u got a plan for holding that thing steady...and i hope u have a feather touch to keep it moving. not gonna be able to put an oiler on a fully buried bar
 
It won't hurt for sure, but not sure that's the issue Jacob - I bet not much oil is making it around the tip, so the cutting side is bone dry. Milling is rough on bars/chains.
 
Freehanding on the saw so i need to find a way to get oil to the other end of the bar without putting on a attachment. Dunno if that is possible I am jest learning the ropes with this chainsaw milling.
