After getting those older bars lookin' all shiny and new with the grinder and sander are you guys clear coating the bar with anything or just relying on the bar oil to keep things neat and tidy?

Thanks,

I usually give mine a coat of paint and bake them on about 150 degrees in an over for about an hour. i sometimes just heat the bar up a little with a propane torch and prime and paint with epoxy paint. It seems to do about as good as baking them.

clear Rustoleum in an urban airbrush seems to work pretty well for me or engine enamel if one wants a bit of color . . . (chevy orange bar looks nice on a Husky or old echo)
