I just got my BIG bumper spikes and the dual port cover for my Stihl 460. I am not real impressed with the size of the opening in the cover but I do like the screens they installed on the outside. I will take pics of everything this weekend. Is there anything else I have to do to the saw besides tuning When I put the dual port cover on? Also does anyone have any good pics of the BIG bumper spikes installed on their saw? I got the roller chain catch also. (All from Stihl) Little confused as to how they go on:dizzy: I don't work on the saw that much. Usually if it involves tuning or internal motor workings it goes to the dealer. They will be doing the tune on it after the dual port. I am very handy and do Industrial maintenance for a living so this can't be that hard Just looking for advice first. Can't wait to hear and use it!!! I feel like a little kid again!!!:greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw:

The roller chain catcher will bolt onto the inside spike (that is mounted to the case). The other end of the roller catcher will just go through the outer spike on the cover. This allows you to remove the cover without unbolting anything.

Maybe this is not relevant, but one of my 084s has the roller chain catcher, and it is attached to the outside dawg and pegs thru the inner. Prolly no difference whatsoever........:greenchainsaw:

On my 361 roller kit it was definitely installed on the outer dog and just "plugged into" the inner dog. Easier to work/clean that way, when you pull the cover off; and less chance of bending anything.

ive seen them bolted both ways..and im a fan of them being bolted to the inside..i put the bolts in for the inner dog loose and set the saw down flat and tighten them up. install the chain catcher to the inner dog. and then put the bolts in for the outer dog and then slip the clutch cover on..let the roller peg go into the outer dog and then tighten it down...if you do it right it will slide right on and off and will not be in any sort of a bind

Those aren't big, they're stock. Guess it's all relative depending on which side of the rockies you're on.

I got the spikes and roller on. Now I am waiting on the dealer to call me and tell me to come and get it! I just bolted on the dual port cover- we'll see what that does before I go chopping the baffle out.:greenchainsaw:
