What's the AS crew do with their ash's from the OWB's?

I have a pit I dig every couple years and dump it in there cause of the few nails and kibbles that sometimes get thrown in.

dump it in the skidder bucket and loose it in the field. i also have a couple old cisterns that i've filled up over the years.

Ya unfortunately we got 4 hooved critters out in the bush so just spreading it isn't a good plan, until we stop burning stuff with nails and odds and ends in it, some day it'll only get pure wood....some day....

I use a magnet taped to a stick and run it through the ash to get the nails and screws out if I am burning any recycled construction wood. Then I usually dump the ashes on my long gravel driveway as fines. I also toss some ashes around my gardens and trees here for fertilizer (ash is very high in potassium).
