Here is pic (as good as I could do,camera not working right,lucky to get this one)of gouge on saw,do not think it was from shipping.Seller sold as CHECKED OUT NO PROBLEMS.Looks like problem.
 
Its leaking down where it looks cracked.I think seller would have seen something like that.What do you think,Iam I wrong to ask for money back at his expense or money for repair?I think something like that would lower price of NO PROBLEMS saw.
 
A full refund is definitely in order, if you still want the saw a refund in the amount it will cost to do the repair it should be given.
 
Yeah, I would e-mail the guy, and squawk a bit.

When I sell a saw, I go overboard on the description of the flaws, which
usually counts against me.

But a gash like that, it would have been documented.......
