Echo 50cc port job or buy a 60cc?

Thank you for the offer, but sorry, I have no need for it, and remember what I said about Echo saw values around Denver... I can buy a new in the box 590 for $200... I pass on it because I know I can't sell it for much locally.


I buy fixer-uppers and sometimes luck into some really nice ones that have no problems... I just like to work on them as a hobby
 

Ported 490 32"3/8 skip


20" 3/8

If you just want a saw to run a 20" bar buried occasionally the ported 500, is a really good idea.

If you see yourself in lots of bigger timber, than a 60cc+ saw is the better option.

The 490/500 oil really good, and are a lightweight package. I wouldn't have any problem running 20" .325 or lo pro 3/8 on a ported one.
 
Personally I would go with a 70cc saw myself, but I would rather have a ported 50cc than a stock 60cc.
