Hey boys and girls,
I´m new here, very inspired by your experiments, this is a great forum.
I´m one of the few Echo fans over here in Germany, most foresters never heard about that brand before. Buy a Stihl is all they have to say...but I´m stubborn and I like to have something special. But, sadly, my CS 3900 is disgustingly slow, takes about 2 seconds to reach max rpm. Carburetor is tuned as good as it goes.
So, muffler mod should be the solution, to blow away those mainstream MS 260s![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Couldn´t find anything specific about how to do it right, only newer models here.
Theres no cat and no limiter caps. I don´t want to split the muffler because I couldn´t weld it together afterwards. Can do some drilling, dremeling and filing, though. Here´s some pics of the muffler (if it works...)
Can someone tell me how to tune it properly? The easier the better, as always.
Maybe just drill a 1/2 hole in the front, maybe ad a little outside deflector?
Thanks in advance, help very apreciated!
Roland
