echo cs-400 chain brake problem

My cs-400 chain brake is stuck. I opened it, but i can't see anything wrong with it. It's almost like the spring is just too stiff. But i know thats not the case, because it's worked fine for last year and half.

Does Anyone know what the problem might be?

No luck

I replaced the spring, and moving pieces of the chain brake with no luck. For a temporary fix i cut about a half inch off the spring, and everything seems to be working fine.
