Echo worm gear

I was able to pull the worm gear off of an Echo CS 303T with a bearing separator. Is it reusable? Should I just press it back on? Any use of heat/freezing?

I would re-use it provided you did not damage it during removal.

I put one on wrong (lacking washer behind it) once, and found a large nut that threaded onto the worm gear and pulled on that, worked well. to put it back on I used the clutch to press it back on... if it doesn't go on tight perhaps just put some loctite on it.. it doesn't have a whole lot of torque on it so it should do just fine
