Hello, I just bought some emerald evergreens (i think) we are using them for some privacy. What is the best way to take care of them and encourage growth? Is there a recomeneded fertilizer and time of year to apply it?

Thanks.... :)

I asume they are arborvitae. These have a tendancy to get winter burn, or decication. Burlap wrap or antitranspirant spray will help, especialy their first few years while establishing a new root sysytem.

Depends on if they are in full sun during the winter and in a windy area.

Arb's are swamp boundry plants and like lots of water. Soak them rael good before hard freeze sets in.
