my friend was told his cylinder was scored on his stihl saw due to e10 gas? i've never heard of this problem.will star gas additive or ethanol additive help with this problem if its true or should he and I use a lead substitute?thanks

I always heard it was from ingesting lots of Douglas Fir or concrete dust. I can see the bark dust but isn't concrete hard on the chain?Best answer

I recommend to use premium. There is almost no ethanol in it by law anyway.

I use marine sta bil in my boat and any gas that is stored and never have any problems. Running gas now that was mixed last summer.What about gasoline stabilizers like Sta Bil? I have a few seasonal toys that have pump premium, Techron and marine Sta Bil as a winterizing cocktail.
