Exhaust problem w/splitter..........

the deflector is the easiest solution, $3 and 4 screws, no mods needed,
right now it exhausts straight out at the operator, just throw that deflector on and exhaust it 90 deg. in either direction, how much simpler can it get??
the older briggs had both pipe thread and flange mounts for the exhaust, most of the new ones use flange only...
if it were an older one i would suggest some pipe and elbows and re-route the exhaust, but with this engine the deflector IS the easiest solution!

Everyone of your replies is greatly appreciated! This 'deflecting' is not an emergency thing rather something I have to look in to.

Getting overwhelmed by the exhaust has only happened to me twice in 1/2 dozen+ years of splitting, once before my splitter mods and now once after, but it sure sends me for a loop. :) I honestly think it all has to do with Mother Nature's wind direction when I'm splitting.
