I had a groundman that always bragged about his skill in music. I took him to Beale street, home of the blues, in Memphis Tennessee. After feeding him ribs and strolling around, he said "Beale street doesn't impress me. I said it's not there for you to be impressed by it. He sucked.
 
After spending time in Europe, Scandanavia and the UK I have to say that there are more tight rigging situations than in the US/Canada. That means that alternative rigging techniques are needed. Bombing chunks is not likely most of the time.

I made up a lag driver a while ago for my drill. along the lines of what MM described. A tube with notches and a cross pin. Drill the pilot hole with an 18v drill followed by a lag with a generous dollop of dishsoap. Make sure that your pilot bit is the correct diameter.
