Fast-Tach question

When you guys are setting idle & high rpm settings with a tach,are you getting rock solid readings?like for idle,my tach is jump'in around between 2,650-2,700-2,750, high rpm setting not as bad but still jump'in around a few rpm, 13,150-13,200 about have my 372xpw broken in (around 11 tanks) so i'm starting to lean it out a bit,just wanted to know if this is normal for this tach? and i do still have the rev limit coil,13,300rpm on this xpw

My Stihl tach jumps as well as a cheaper model. I think its normal. Just average the readings.

If it has the blue coil it's limited. All the ones I've seen from the factory have the blue coil. If you plan on muffler modding it you might want to get an unlimited coil to ease in tuning.
