I know this is going to sound simple and stupid, but, I really am trying to figure out the best and fastest saws in each class.

Here are my guesses and my categories:

Top Handle/trimming/pruning - Stihl 200T?

Under 50cc class - Husqvarna 346xp?

50cc-65cc class - Stihl MS361 or Husqvarna 262xp?

65cc-85cc class - Stihl MS460?

85cc-100cc class - ????

100cc+ class - ????

What saws do y'all think will go through the wood the quickest stock?

Discuss.

Cs 590 or 362c for every class.

Especially in wood under 25"

50cc..i think a 550 is better stock than a 346

60cc..a 362c obviously..its on stihls website.

70cc..i dont think there is a fastest..idk

80cc..idk..a 7900 ( does that count ? )

90cc..a 362c is faster than 661c in wood under 25"..so who needs 661c of you dont cut big wood ?

We would have to define the "classes". The 7900 is a great example, technically in the 70's, but closest to an 80 cc saw, but would it outcut a 390 at 88cc? Or a 288 for tht matter?

In my experience stock 550xp ported 346xp
Stock 372xp, ported ms441. I also own a ported 2188 that screams but I have not really had many opportunities to compare it.

Would you consider adjusting your classes.

50, 60,70,90 seems to be more sensible than what you came up with.

Your top handle class I don't know for sure but kind of doubt the
stihl 200t is faster than something else out there with the same bore and 2mm more stroke running the same chain and pitch sprocket.
