Field weight vs factory PHO weight

With all the talk about actual weight vs published PHO, I just weighed my Stihl 025 and MS362C.

025:
Published PHO 10.1 lb.
16" B&C full 13 lb. 6.2 oz

MS362C
Published PHO 13 lb.
20" B&C full 18lb. 1.4oz.

I'll drop my 394 with the 42" bar off at your house sometime. Use that for a week, and you'll never weigh a 362 again!

My 090g with 96" bar makes a Mac 125 with 50" bar feel like a 200t after carrying the big saw. Its all a mayter of perspective. And no, most weight data is not correct with the error benefiting the seller. No way a 7900 weighs 13.9 lbs. complete powerhead only. Mine weighed the exact same 14.6 lbs as my ms460.

Weight is something talked about a lot, but price and dealer are probably the important factors with power being third important. If weight was a real issue 395s would never sell !

Thats true, if you have a big job, you will likely need a bigger saw and weight is less of a consideration. The price point homeowner saws prove just this point vs pro's with a job to get done.

Saws are like women, a little extra weight don't matter if they can cook good or have other talents. Ever go to a BBQ and see a handsome fella with a homely plump gal and the dish she brought tastes like crap, makes you wonder...
