I have had these sitting here for a bit, a Poulan 4200 and a Dolmar 133. I had the parts for the 4200 and wanted to do this saw for Chris/Cbfarmall and I just got the pieces to finish the Dolmar.
Chris and I made plans to get these two done today and we did. Didnt get to do much else but we did get done what we started out to do.
I didnt get many pictures took of the rebuilds but the 4200 needed a slightly scored top end fixed and it got all new seals, carb rebuild, fuel and oil lines etc. It runs really really well. We tried it out with a 28" bar with full comp, LGX and it really walked the dog in a piece of oak. It really was in the same time frame as the 6 cube saws we tried out a few weeks back.
The Dolmar was a mess and it got a good used 143 crankcase, crank, new piston, rings, carb rebuild, lines etc. It runs really well also. It needs a couple little things yet as I would like to find a better recoil for it. I need to pull the muffler back off and fab up the missing bracket that bolts to the case and I need to find the rubber carb screw grommet for it and a good set of original dogs.
We tried it out in the same piece of Oak with a 25" bar with LGX as well. I was surprised at the DL count on this as a 84DL chain was 2 links too short.
Here are a couple of pictures.
