Firewood Hopper

I've been asked by a local farmer if I may be interested in purchasing one of his older hoppers. Just wondering if anyone thinks this idea would work or jam solid for splitting wood into then opening up to dump into my delivery trailer.

I think it might bridge or at least it would if was tiring it!
Good idea and might be worth a try

Glen as said above I think bridging is going to be an issue, If the whole bottom opened up like a dump truck tail gate then it would be fine but four sides sloped into a half size port don't think so. Can ya try it with a big loader bucket full to see what might happen first. Would be great for bulk pellet sales.

Cousin's husband filled a corn crib with splits. Discovered you couldn't drag out a piece by hand.

Kinda like trying to pull a couple pieces out of the middle of a stack.
