Got my order from Baileys today. Bunch of miscellaneous stuff and I ordered a couple of the hi-visibility green wedges. I think the 8" & 10". Holy crap these things are huge. My only felling wedge to this point has been an Oregon wedge from Menards. I didn't realize that a felling wedge was supposed to be that large.

I've only used the Oregon wedge once because everything I've fell in the past has been no doubters or as long as somewhere in the field it doesn't matter. Definately try these out on a couple of trees on the property that can't go the wrong way.

So a plug for Baileys. What great service and thanks for the free shirt.

Felling wedges come in many different lengths. The right tool for the job sort of thing. I have some 5.5 inch felling wedges as well as some 12" and every size in between.
