I didn't want to impose on Moe's 2149 thread so I started one for questions I have or other people may have...open to all. I have a husky 350 that was fairly new when someone dumped out the back of a dump truck on top of it....plastic and handles were destroyed. My friend gave me the saw to use however I wanted.

I have a 2149 with bad crank bearings and wanted to use the crank and bearings out of the near new 350. Does anybody know if you can swap out the cranks/bearings? I like the mag case of the 2149 over the plastic 350 anyway.

Bearings are not the same between those models, so 2 ways to go.

If the 350 case is good, you could move all of the 2149 plastic and handles over. The plastic cases are not that bad. I've used a couple to build up to 346NE's and they have held up fine.

But if you still want to use the 2149 bottom end, just buy the bearings and put them in and still have the 350 bottom for a future project.
