I have been trying to nurse a line of Fraser Firs along my driveway. I stared them as seedlings about 10 years ago. I have had to replace several, it may be too hot and dry here for them. They are now 5-6 feet high. I water them the best I can in dry weather and give them plenty of dog droppings. Got to do something and you don't want them in the garden.
So last fall after a dry summer, I noticed the lower needles were yellowing. I am wondering if our soil is too sweet, and if I need to add something, an dif so, what?
