Hey guys, I have just become the new North American Distributor for AIP Pistons. Right now we have brought in the stihl line and as we go will be adding to this with other brands. These are not cheap pistons out of China. AIP is a ISO/TS 16949 company and is also UL listed ISO 9001. For more information on the ratings you can follow this link: http://www.ul.com/services/ts16949.html I have actually been working on this deal for almost 2 years and have had sample ran in modified saws and in production falling saws long before we decided to become a distributor. These are of excellant quality. In the past 5 months we have not had one of our sample pistons fail. One bulder who we sent a sample to has noted that the alloy in these pistons is actually harder than the stock Stihl pistons that they are replacing. Suggested retail on the pistons is $48 each and ring sets are $16. Please check with dealers for actual pricing.

To celebrate and to get the word out I am giving away one of each of the following. 031 - 44mm, 039 - 49mm, 044 large pin, 044 small pin 046 and an 066. I am also giving away 10 sets of 52mm x 1.2mm rings This is for Arborist site members only!!!

Please one item per person. I will also cover shipping. Please request the item you want on this thread and then PM me your address and I will have them out by Monday.

For those who need rings or pistons you can contact Eric Nelson [email protected] as he is our first dealer.

Dean, look at the bigger picture... add the UK to your north American distribution and I'm on the list.

Damn it! I always miss out on the free stuff :-(

So, the pistons from India are good then. I've looked at their website before now and they sound good, but then they always do. It's nice to heard a review from someone who has actually field tested the product.

I was so quick to type I didn't read the thread! Sorry...

I'd gladly take an 026 off of you.

Certainly appreciate this gesture!

[oops...I think I misread]

remember guys if you need a piston other than what was listed as a freeby or if it was gone too soon for you to get please contact Eric and he will set you up. I am also going to talk with him and see about getting him to put a forum up on here. He has been a member of the AS for a long time and many of us know him very well.
