Free Wood id?

its Poplar. Today i had to cut the same one (40 inch diameter, about a 90 foot high) same dark rings, and the yellow "wet"wood after splitting. It splits easier along the growrings, not across them.
 
On a closer look I see two different kinds. The one with the smoother bark and green colored heart is definatly yellow/tulip poplar. The heart has a very green color that will turn to dark brown as the air gets to it. It has a very pleasant smell when cutting it fresh.
The other I am not sure of, maybe ash or hack berry.
