what's the deal with them? they must be purely cosmetic and i can't see how using a gas fireplace would be more economical than just turning on your furnace. or maybe they're just for people with money to burn?
it's rather ironic that in a time when natural energy is supposedly in a crisis stage, they invent objects like a gas fireplace.
likewise, when water is another area of concern, they come out with showers that have up to 6 shower heads.
i'll take the old wood burning option any time and one shower head has seemed to work great for me.
