I have 2 ginkgo trees that are both about 3' tall planted on the boulevard. Both were planted last spring and did quite well last summer. This spring both put out buds and only one put on leaves. The second put out very small leaves on one branch but all other branches are small buds with green at the tip. This tree has stayed this way for the past several weeks without change. The other tree is fully leafed out. Both receive similar amount of sun etc. Is there a reason one would look so healthy and the second...not so much?
