This afternoon we took apart my 460. All the way apart. :rolleyes2:
I had never done that before, and wanted to figure out how to split the case, and change the bearings etc. Best way is to take it all apart. If I can put it back together I will be wiser.

I will have to get some bearings, seals, gaskets, little hoses, etc. The cylinder is in good shape :D

This all started with a mysterious drop dead won't idle. Carb was adjusted a bunch of times, no help. Did a kit, no help.
Still won't idle, but runs good. Since it was over revving a bit I am thinking it lost a seal somewhere. Might as well take it apart.

Putting it back together is gonna be fun, if I can remember where everything came out!

Bag up all the little parts and mark them. Keep like groups of parts together (i.e. chain brake parts with chain brake parts
and intake parts with intake parts.) Clean everything thoroughly. Make a clean area for doing fuel system work/carb rebuild
and installing the new bearings and seals in the case.
