stihl crazy, a couple tips, if I may. See if your camera has a macro setting. The manual should explain how to take closeups. Also, read up on how to focus on the subject....with most cameras, this is achieved by pressing the shutter button halfway, which should set the focus and exposure, then press the rest of the way.

The cameras not targeting the piston..put it in front of a wall..and try thew button thing (halfway for a couple of secs) to focus
