I cannot identify the tree I have in my yard. Can anyone help?
Here are some pictures of the bark and leafs.

At the risk of looking stupid, I am willing to bet it's a cherry tree, what kind,?. If I am wrong I blame the perfectly detailed pictures!

1 Pic Looks Like It's A Wild Cherry But In The The Other Pic, It's Looks To Be A Black Heart Cherry, But It Is A Cherry

Black Cherry, no? I have a bunch of those in my woodlot. The carpenter ants love em and they dont seem to live too long or are very sturdy. The drop lots of little black fruits all over bout this time of year. Good for wildlife I spoze. I try to burn it in my wood burner and it gives off little explosions once in a while. Must be pockets of water inside or something.
