A while ago I posted that my needles will not stay adjusted on my current carb. Rather than try to rig it with tape or thread lock, as I adjust for different altitudes and such, I think that I would like to get a new carb.

aftermarket seems cheaper; Are any of the aftermarket carbs worth looking at or are they junk? If so which ones are good?

other suggestions?..........

1st I would try to replace the springs on the screws for the high low settings here are the part numbers 501269001, 501221701 on some sites they are less than a dollar a piece. try that, that will solve your problems almost 99% of the time. also those aftermarket carbs are hit or miss. Id stick with the tillotson, the new part number is 501355301 but its very expensive try the springs 1st that will solve your problems
