To the best of my limited knowledge- it is a 630 or 640 and I would date it around the mid to late 1980's.

Apart from whatever incident caused it to have a piece of strap bracing riveted to the front wrap handle- that must have been a bad day out of the bag!

Yep, should have stayed in the bag, that day....

Looks to be a 35-40cc saw.
Possibly a rear handle version of a top handle saw.
