homelite 290 leaking bar oil?

Hello everyone and this is my first post. I was given a home lite 290 that has a bar oil leak at the seem of the oil tank. It also doesn't have a chain brake. How should I fix the leak? I know its not safe to run it without the brake but I am fixing one thing at a time plus its my backup saw.

I think that is a Solo designed saw, the little brother to the 340. I do not recall one with a brake, though they may have been offered in Canada.
