That's a 7-29. Big, old, badass 7.88ci/129cc belt drive Homelite from the late '50s. A Zip is a direct drive saw that came later (early '60s). A Wiz is a gear drive version of a Zip...

It's only 29 lbs, powerhead only. Remember, it has a Gilmer belt reduction to keep the weight down.

That's true, I watched the video, that things sounds sweet and I love how it just chews through without even changing tone.

I think CB looks good with that old saw, lose the muffs, put on an cloth hat, fade those pics, it's the '50s again.
It's either lose the muffs or keep my hearing. Ever since an 045 Super caused my ears to hurt for a week, I wear ear protection. Be that as it may, if you want to help complete the picture, find me a loooong bar for this saw. They seem to be nonexistent.

Actually, you may not be far off. Homelite started out making generators and pumps, so it's more than likely these engines made their way, in some form, to the new chainsaws.

I'm close to talkin' the old guy out of it, it has a nice 8-29 bolted on it. Those belt drives are pretty thick here, finding one in good shape is rare enough.
Does that mean I should expect to see that bar and chain at my doorstep just as soon as you close the deal?

Well, because you look like an old time bucker, I'll bump you to the top of the list.
I don't have a real high interest in the belt drives, I have had several, including the big ones and I pass them on to those who want them. I'm keeping one, a decent 5-30N, needs a muffler.
I'll take an 8-29 attached to that bar!
