Homelite part?

I have a broken chain break band on my old Homelite. When I do a parts search on UT10546 I find a saw that doesn't look like mine. I found a part breakdown on a Super Mini S (not View attachment 291883View attachment 291884View attachment 291885SL) that showed the part #94014 but searching that part number didn't turn up anything.

I did find the part number listed at Jacks Small Engine but is listed as NLA. I guess finding one NOS or on a dead saw is my only shot.

Yours is the only saw from that series that I have ever seen with a chain brake. I suspect that it will be an exceedingly rare part. Chainsawlady might be a good place to start. I think, however, that your only real chance of repairing the brake is to adapt simmering from another saw.

Thanks for the reply. This morning I removed the broken band and will use the saw as is untill I can find one or adapt one. 20 years ago I would have thought nothing of taking a part like that off and never replacing it but as I get older I like to keep safties in place.
