I don't normally work on older homelites but this is for a regular customer of mine and he said it just needed a fuel line. After ordering a molded fuel line from oregon and a walbro carb kit, I opened it up and found the fuel inlet on the carburetor fell out. I always thought these were pressed in to the carb body but this loosely fits together. Would red loctite hold it in place?

I know they use Loctite 290 to seal rivet leaks in airplane fuel tanks. It is one of the green versions. Also might try shimming it with a chewing gum foil wrapper and a dab of Permatex Number 2 or JB Weld. Sounds like a mess I would get caught in trying to help someone. But, I still do....

It is a metal elbow and its loose but not enough to shim. I have loctite 271 and its red, I'm going to try that before ordering the green stuff.
