Hello - Checking to see if any of you know how to replace the chain tensioner on a Stihl MS 211?

It has the side tensioner screw and slide that pushes the chain out as you turn the screw.

I removed several pieces, however, cannot seem to get the screw assembly out to replace the broken slide.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Once you remove the screw holding the plastic piece in then the rest should pull out using a long nose pliers. I have not actually worked on an MS211 but according to the IPL they use the same adjuster as the MS210. There is a little plastic guide at the muffler end of the adjuster that can be a little tight to remove sometimes. If you like I can send you a copy of the IPL.

Regards

Phil
