Hey HumBurner,
So, if you’re not fixed up on this issue yet, I had 4 of these this week, each with the red flashing light issues. All turned out to be that the chain brake mechanism was totally packed, inside and out with sawdust. Saws had to be completely disassembled with the chain brake assembly taken out of the saw, and the plastic cover removed and blown out with air. You can’t get it clean from just 1 side alone. Of course, the red flashing light can mean other things as well, but even the Husqvarna service/troubleshooting software wouldn’t have helped in this situation. If your saw doesn’t have the air filter screen (accessory) you might consider it. It won’t completely keep sawdust out of the inside, but it should help some. Here’s a few pics….

Thanks for the update on your end.

I've done the thorough cleaning of every part and nook/cranny.

I haven't had a chance to split it and blow it out again, but the dust guard has helped a lot, both with the saw and the batteries.

I'm thinking mine is likely a loose/faulty sensor. It's a pain, but I'm not taking this thing into the shop. Technically the "brake" works, though it may damage the motor/components eventually, as the band isn't stopping the clutch, but a kill-signal.
