Just thought I'd post some props for Hud-Son's of Mapledale, NY, next town over from my home town of Holland Patent. I visit my Dad up here every couple of summers and always make it a point to stop at Hud-Son's. Back in the day, they were called Dan Hudon's (founding owner).
I dropped by for some chain, asked for 4 different lengths in 2 different pitches. They went straight to the shelf of yellow label full-chisel, exactly what I wanted. No arguments about not selling yellow label to "non-pros" or whatever. The fact that they even have a stack of shorter .325 loops in full-chisel RSC tells you they sell to people who cut a lot.
Anyway, they are one of my favorite saw shops, even though Stihl sales are not their main business.
