Husqvarna 257 cover on a 262 cylinder

I am reading here that a 257 cover needs to be adjusted to fit over a 262 cylinder. I would like to find some additional detail on the modifications needed. I am planning to use the 257 air intake and filter. Thanks for any help. Don

If using the 257 air filter mount and filter you can use the 257 top cover. The 262 has different filter setup so it takes the different top cover.

Thanks. I like that. I am planning to use the 257 filter setup. An earlier post here made me think that the 262 intake is higher so I would need to adjust the cover.
